Cruise Recap

Our fancy dinner while on the cruise ship.

My boyfriend lifted me up above the fence to snap this picture.

Ahhh, what a beautiful week it was when we went to Nassau, Bahamas and Key West, FL. Our original cruise destination was Cozumel, Mexico but thanks to tropical storm Nate we were rerouted to the Bahamas; there were no complaints from us. We all wanted tropical and a tropical retreat is what we got.

We splashed in the salty Bahama waters and  I was amazed by the clear blue ocean and the white sand beach. My boyfriend and I had went to Freeport, Bahamas the year before and we swam with dolphins (best moment of my life) so we didn’t have time to lounge around on the beach after but this time we did and it was INCREDIBLE. I submerged myself completely under and felt so free, weightless, and so happy to be fortunate to explore different parts of the world and enjoy others culture.

In Key West, we explored the city recently hit by hurricane Irma. The city is already getting all of the debris out of the way and the damage fixed. We got to see Ernest Hemingway’s home and I was in love. I’ve always been very intrigued by Hemingway’s life and seeing his home in person was breathtaking. My boyfriend gave me a boost to snap some pics as we were walking by it. We also visited the Southernmost most point of the United States and we were immediately splashed by incoming waves but as you can see, we thought it was hilarious. We were told by people who had been there visiting the buoy for a while we were the only ones who had gotten splashed, the waves weren’t that bad until we hopped up there!

Overall, this trip was so much fun and so relaxing. I got to go on this cruise with my boyfriend, his dad, his brother, and his sister and we all had a blast. We’ve already talked about what destination to go to next year. Stay tuned!
