Post Halloween Ft. The Chainsmokers

“This is not a test. This is your emergency broadcast system announcing the commencement of the Annual Purge sanctioned by the U.S. Government. Weapons of class 4 and lower have been authorized for use during the Purge. All other weapons are restricted. And for the first time since it s inception, no one has been granted special immunity from the Purge. No citizen or group will be exempt. Commencing at the siren, any and all crime, including murder, will be legal for 12 continuous hours. Police, fire, and emergency medical services will be unavailable until tomorrow morning until 7 a.m., when The Purge concludes. Blessed be our New Founding Fathers and America, a nation reborn. May God be with you all.”

I was majorly inspired by the film, The Purge: Election Year. I loved how creepy Lady Liberty and Uncle Sam were when they tased the main characters and then pretty much immediately after that were killed. I thought it would make for a cute couple Halloween costume and boy did fellow Nashville peeps love it. My favorite comment about our outfits was,  “Yo, are y’all trying to say Americas dead because of this election?” We were like no but TRUE. Enjoy the rest of the post about how to achieve this creepy look.

This cool torch came with my Lady Liberty costume and I bought the, “I Purged” pin on Etsy. “

To get this dress I literally googled “Lady Liberty costume,” and found it for less than $25 on Amazon.

I did a normal full set of makeup with green, orange, and black shimmery smokey eye with Morphe pallets (green and orange colors were with Morphe Jaclyn Hill Favorites pallet and black/shimmery colors were with Mama Drama Morphe Elena Gant pallet). I used Jefree Star Androgyny for my liquid lip. I used green face paint in a crayon version from a Halloween tent I went to as well as green, blue, and orange glitter from a face paint pallet from the same Halloween tent.

For the blood I bought a pint of fake blood from Walmart (less than $5) and just splattered it to and fro including my walls and bathroom mirror.

I made my boyfriend be Uncle Sam because well duh. My friend did his creepy face paint and it looked great and very clown like (scawy). Here we are below and our mermaid dog.

We went to a Chainsmokers concert and it was siiiick. Check out this little snippet below.

I hope you all had as happy of a Halloween as I did! Stay creepy.

“Eat, drink, and be scary.”
