NEWS ANNOUNCEMENT:: I’m going to start experimenting more with my make up and hair then fill you lovelies in with how to do it yourself. 🙂

I have always been fascinated with makeup even though I didn’t start experimenting with all the different fun things there are until I was about 18 or 19 years old. I began wearing the basics of makeup at 15; I started with foundation, eyeliner, and mascara. It wasn’t until I was 18 that I realized I could dab on some blush and eye shadow. I began to dabble in that more and more and I’ve gotten pretty good at eye shadow techniques (blending and what not). Now as a 21 year old woman I feel like I have been missing out my whole life because my new favorite thing is an eyebrow pencil. Those little suckers are loads of fun. I have naturally dark brown hair but my eyebrows are a lighter brown so they looked a little strange because of that. I fill in my eyebrows everyday now and it even seems like when I wipe my makeup off at night, my eyebrows now have a darker tint to them (or I’m just exhausted and seeing things).

My go to makeup products are:

Maybelline Fit Me liquid foundation // This has SPF which everyone should get because the sun can be a spiteful bastard sometimes. Also, they have numbers on their bottles and other products that fit your skin tone and you can pair it with their pressed powder, blush, bronzer, etc. It’s a real good time.

Covergirl blush in the most bright and tackiest color cause whaduppp ;P

Maybelline Fit Me bronzer

Rimmel eyeliner // I usually go for brown or a blue color so it’s not so harsh and it makes my eyes pop

Estee Lauder eyebrow pencil in a dark brown color

Bare Minerals concealer

L’Oreal red lipstick is superb and it stays on for hours even when there is food and liquids invloved

**Everything I use is super light due to my vampire skin tone but the best way to determine your skin color is to put a tiny tab on the front of your hand, let it dry a bit, then take a look and see if it matches your face skin tone. You can even put a dab on your face if you’re about that life.

My hair is shorter than it has been in a long time and while it makes me sad, I’ve accepted it shall grow back and it needed to be done due to the excessive bleaching that was done to my hair to make it blonde. Being blonde was fun but it hardcore damaged my locks…Moving on, since my hair is shorter I have to adjust to finding new ways to style my hair; it’s one of my favorite things to do in the morning besides doing my makeup.

In the picture above, I simply curled my hair, threw it up in a ponytail but used a strand of my own hair as a replacement for a ponytail holder, I used a bobby pin to keep it in place, and then brought my bangs back and secured them with a ponytail to do a mini Snooki bump. Voila, it was easy and I got compliments on the creativity.

You don’t have to put hours upon hours into your hair and makeup routine or experimentation. Simple is the best way to go but when you want to spruce it up a bit Pinterest can help all those who wander the world lost and then take them to a land of beauty and excitement. I’ll try to do weekly posts of beauty and how-to’s. If there’s anything in particular you’d like to see me try, send me an email at or comment below. 🙂
