Halloween Shenanigans

Halloween this year was uber amounts of fun. I got to be a Rocky Horror Picture Show fan one night and a mermaid the next. I had never been before but it is safe to say I have lost my Rocky Horror Picture Show virginity. I always loved the music and the movie and now I have fallen completely in love with the play on Halloween night.

This is red lipstick is from Revlon which lasted all night long! I added glitter to it for some personal flair.

Dr. Frank-N-Furter was amazing!!

We’re with the band;)

Bandeau bra: Tilly’s

Shirt: Yard sale but originally from Charlotte Russe

Denim Jacket: Plato’s closet…Decree brand

Shorts: pretty sure Dillard’s…Sloosh brand

Fishnets: Halloween Express (orange tent)

Shoes: Dillard’s…Giovanni Fabiani brand

All together cost of look: about $100 but you can totally get this all at yard sales or Goodwill

Now, for the next night I got to channel my inner mermaid which pretty much completed my life. I have red hair now and Ariel is the only Disney Princess with blue eyes so, I feel like I gave her justice. I didn’t go full blown Ariel but I did go for Rockstar mermaid (I wanted to be warm hence the jacket and beanie).

I accessorized with a pearl necklace, pearl earrings, turquoise and gold bracelet, and a blue mineral ring that I stole from my mother. 🙂

All together cost of look: about $100

Again I say, you can totally get a lot of this at yard sales or Goodwill.

I used my creative juices to spice up my outfit a bit. I had a seashell lying around so I glued a safety pin on it and safety pinned it to my bandeau bra. I had a plastic fork that I covered in glue and sprinkled with silver glitter to make Ariel’s infamous “dinglehopper.” I also used that glitter in my hair by mixing it in with my mouse and hairspray and I used glitter in my lotion to make my body shiny.

I had a blast this Halloween and I hope you all did as well. After we left the party we went and bought ghost sugar cookies and we saw some really cool mugs on sale so we got those too. I was lucky enough to score the one with my favorite mermaid on it. 🙂
